Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my birthday and I can't help but get this feeling...it's a sense of happiness but not excitement. I'm thinking that comes with the numbers but I can't help but feel bad that I'm beginning to loose that sense of pure joy knowing that it's my birthday.

Now, that doesn't diminish how much fun or how happy I am on my birthday!

Yesterday, Sonny and I went to Reangthai for my birthday dinner. It was a lovely thai restaurant and i will not be getting my food "hot" there any time soon! It was teh perfect blend of spice and flavor and it has almost this 'hole in the wall' location. Either way, there service and the food was spectacular!

We came back home and we had birthday cake, because let's face it- what's a birthday without birthday cake. We danced and then we passed out.

Today since it was "my" day we did some shopping. I got a great centerpiece bowl from Michaels. I had been wanting one but they are so expensive. I lucked out because this was the last one left in the holiday clearance section. And instead of me paying $25- I got it for under $10. Then we made our way to World Market and picked up some seat cushions for the dining room table. They also had these on clearance and on Wednesday I found these lovely red ones but left my coupon at home...so when I went back today with my coupon they didn't have the color I wanted- so I took them in yellow. They match and I came away with a steal on 4 seat cushions! I picked up some other minor things and now we are making my birthday dinner (part two I guess.)

We are having: dahl, rice, potatoe/chickpea/butterbean curry!!! Yum! Just what you need on a cold night like this.

Oh and I forgot to mention that we had our work party on Friday night and that was a blast. Margie, Emily, Kim and I managed to take a so-so place and make it look really nice. Us girls rock and we danced the night away.
