And... the curtains are finally done!
So I found this really cute fabric online that I liked, but when I went to the store I realized that it was more for an outdoor use rather than indoors.
So my next option...keeping in mind I was on a budget, was to find a panel that I already liked, and adjust as needed. So I bought a panel for all three of my windows and I began deconstructing and reconstructing. I took the single panel and made them double panels...which required me to stitch the cut sides...by hand! That was 84" of hand stitching. Keep in mind there are three windows, therefore there were three panels that I cut in half...which means I stitched up 6 panels for a grand total of 504" of hand stitching! HELLO ARTHRITIS!
Finished product: (mind the mess!)

Design on a Dime...The Genius Version.
I've been itching to re-do our living room...but I'm by no means someone with an eye for interior design. I know what I like and I can match colors...so that's what I've been doing.
The first step in changing things around was to get rid of the old.
Here's our stuff before:

Once we got the sofas sold we had the stuff we ordered delivered. I knew I wanted a gallery wall...

We found this rug we liked...and some linens that matched. It's a sea foam/robins egg blue/mineral color. I stitched the fabric (by hand!) and poof- I got curtains.
Here's a pic of where we are...there is still more to do!
