The Orion spacecraft looks like something from the Apollo missions. Smaller than what I thought it would look , but cooler than I could ever imagine.
Tallahassee doesn't get many major/interesting attractions very often so when I read that the Orion spacecraft was making a stop in Tallahassee it was a definite must-see for Sonny and I. We are both a bit geeky and find all-things related to space and space travel intriguing. Seeing the craft that could be the future of space exploration was awesome! The capsule (pictured below) can hold up to six people. I could go on and on into more details about the structure of the craft, but then you would really know geeky I am.
Something I commented to Sonny on as we were leaving, is that I hope the schools in Tallahassee or at least parents took their kids to see this. The craft was inspiring to see and makes me proud of the human race. Actually, a couple of things lately have made me proud of my fellow citizens and makes me want to be a better person. Anyhow...enjoy the pics below! To read more about the Orion spacecraft's voyage click here.
