Tis the Season for Merriment and Love

The past couple of week have been a blur. Between the Winter Festival, the cookie exchange, work parties, Secret Santas and the baby I feel like I need a vacation from the month of December! Don't get me wrong- I love it all and wait for it every year...I just wish I had more time to enjoy it all.

Speaking of having more time to enjoy it all...the first trimester has passed and I feel like it is flying by! This little nugget has been an angel so far. I had no side effects whatsoever, except for some back pain. From what I am told, it only gets worse from here on out.

Everyone so far has been incredibly supportive, helpful and loving. I'm so happy to know that this baby will be loved so much! He or she has received such wonderful presents this holiday season. Thank you to everyone for the lovely gifts!

While Sonny and I would be happy with either a girl or a boy, we both have our preferences...one of us will be on the shorter end of that stick when we find out next month. At our last appointment the nugget had a strong heartbeat of 160. According to a co-worker, and some old wives tales, this is an indication that it's a girl...we will wait and see!

I am looking forward to the next trimester. I can't wait to see/feel what is in store for both Sonny and me.

For Christmas we are heading up to North Georgia. Mom, dad, Sonny and I will enjoy some nice, cool weather near the mountains. We will be back in Tally for NYE so if you don't have plans, give us a ring.

Not sure if I'll post before the new year, so Happy New Year to everyone!
