Trip #2 to Miami = Success

So this is the boy's and my second trip back to Miami to do wedding planning. Our goal was to not come down more than twice and I think we managed to do it! This trip we managed to pick our wedding cake, secure hotel blocks, finalize bridesmaids dresses, and consult with the hair stylist.

Wedding Cake:
We choose our cake, not from Divine Delicacies as was originally planned (they are The Knot's pick a couple years running), but from the Moulin Rouge Bakery. It is a much smaller, local shop (so small they don't even have a website that I can share), but the cake is amazing. My mom first told me about this place after having a slice of cake that my dad's coworkers brought in. After talking with Jo-Anna (baker who is amazing!) and going through a cake testing Sonny and I settled on marble with a custard filling for the largest tier, then amaretto w/ a amaretto filling fr the second tier and then a rum cake with an orange rum filling.

BOTTOM LINE: This place is amazing. It have a lovely vibe and everything they make tastes, looks, and smells fab!! The price is beyond reasonable and the people are wonderful.
